Program Director

Jan Thurman is an alumni from SDSU, graduating in 1999 with a B.S. in Kinesiology, and 2005 with a M.S. in Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology. She earned her Kinesiotherapy registry in 2000, massage therapy training in 1997, as well as certifications in Active Isolated Stretching and as a Fullerton Balance and Mobility Instructor. She has worked extensively with disabled individuals first as a staff therapist and eventually as the Program Director for the Challenge Center, a post-rehabilitation program. She now serves as Program Director for the SDSU Fitness Clinic for Individuals with Disabilities and as a private therapist. At the Fitness Clinic, Jan offers an individualized approach to exercise programming based on an extensive background and years of experience that benefits clients, students, family members, and caregivers.
Assistant Program Director

Matthew Justin Soto is an alumni from SDSU, graduating in 2008 with a B.S. in Kinesiology (Kinesiotherapy emphasis). He is a Board Registered Kinesiotherapist, and joined the SDSU Fitness Clinic in December 2011. Matthew has clinic experience in physical therapy, pain management, and working with individuals living with physical disabilities.
